Step by step, let’s connect Escape Home Box to your Smart TV

Welcome to Escape Home Box! In this article, we will guide you through a few simple steps to connect the application to your television, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience.

For Android and iOS devices with Smart TV, Chromecast, or Fire TV Stick:

  1. Make sure that your Smart TV or the playback device you will be using is connected. (e.g., Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV Stick).
  2. Confirm that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the television or playback devices.
  3. On your phone, open the Escape Home Box application and select your adventure.
  4. Play through the app on your mobile device, and when you come across challenges that include videos, you will see a message: “BEFORE CONTINUING, PRESS PLAY TO WATCH THE VIDEO.”
  5. The video can be played directly within the app itself (though it will only be visible on the mobile device) or through YouTube by following the link provided below the message: “IF YOU WANT TO WATCH THE VIDEO ON A TV SCREEN, FOLLOW THIS LINK.”
  6. Select the “Send” button located at the top of the YouTube playback window.
  7. Once you have pressed the button, simply look for the device you want to play the content on in the list and select it. Once done, you will see that the videos from your phone will start playing on the television automatically, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience.
  8. Don’t worry if you see a black video screen in the application. That simply means that everything being played will always appear on the television.

For iOS devices with Apple TV:

  1. Make sure that your Apple TV is connected.
  2. Confirm that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Apple device.
  3. On your phone, open the Escape Home Box application and select your adventure.
  4. Play through the app on your mobile device, and when you come across challenges that include videos, you will see a message: “BEFORE CONTINUING, PRESS PLAY TO WATCH THE VIDEO.”
  5. The video can be played directly within the app itself (though it will only be visible on the mobile device) or through YouTube by following the link provided below the message: “IF YOU WANT TO WATCH THE VIDEO ON A TV SCREEN, FOLLOW THIS LINK.”
  6. Once the video playback starts, you will see this icon at the bottom. Click on it.
  7. Once you have pressed the button, simply look for the device you want to play the content on in the list and select it. Once done, you will see that the videos from your phone will start playing on the television automatically, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience.

To disconnect the device once you have completed the game:

  1. Select the “Send” button again, which we previously used for playback. or
  2. Once the menu is open, select “Disconnect”.
